| Working experience and occupation | Mr. Yap Chee Yoong ("Mr. Yap") graduated with an Advanced Diploma in Commerce (Financial Accounting) from Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (now known as Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology) in 2014. He became a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in 2019 and a Fellow Member of ACCA in 2024. In addition, he is a Chartered Accountant and has been a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) since 2024. In March 2015, Mr. Yap began his career as an Audit and Assurance Associate at SJ Grant Thornton (now known as Grant Thornton Malaysia) in Kuala Lumpur. He was promoted to Senior Associate in August 2016 and re-designated as Acting Supervisor in April 2017. He subsequently progressed to Supervisor in April 2018 and to Assistant Manager in August 2018, a position he held until his resignation in September 2019. During his tenure at SJ Grant Thornton, he was primarily responsible for conducting audits and financial analysis for both public listed and private companies to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements. In September 2019, he joined M&A Securities Sdn. Bhd. as an Assistant Manager in the Corporate Finance Department and left in April 2024. He subsequently joined PMCK Berhad in May 2024 as the Financial Controller, taking over responsibilities on overseeing our Group's financial matters which was previously under the purview of Dato' Dr. Lee Gaik Cheng, the Managing Director. Mr. Yap is currently the Financial Controller of PMCK Berhad and is expected to assume the role of Chief Financial Officer ("CFO") with effect from 3 June 2026. He oversees the Group's financial matters, including financial reporting, budgeting, accounting, and treasury functions. Upon assuming the CFO role, he will oversee the Group's financial strategy and management, covering governance, reporting integrity, audit readiness, regulatory compliance, financial discipline and risk management. |
